Exmouth RNLI Welly Trail

Today marked the official launch of the RNLI Exmouth Welly Trail for 2025/2026 — a fantastic community initiative proudly sponsored by local businesses, including us here at Otter Valley Funerals.

This free, family-friendly trail takes visitors on a scenic journey through Exmouth’s historic landmarks and along its picturesque, sweeping seafront.

The opening ceremony featured a few words of thanks from RNLI Crew Volunteer Geoff Mills. Each sponsor was then presented with a certificate by acting Fundraising Chairman, Rob Anderson, in recognition of their support.

Guests were welcomed into the boathouse for refreshments, including a special Yellow Welly Cake baked by Alison Price and ceremonially cut by Ro Lawrence — a dedicated volunteer who has given 20 years of service to the RNLI shop.

Supporting local charities is at the heart of our community values, particularly those connected to the coastline and the thriving sailing and watersports scene here in Exmouth.

Over the past 12 months alone, more than £21,000 has been donated by our community in memory of loved ones, with families choosing to support charities close to their hearts through our donation pages.
